Signature Drinks

Adding a signature drink can be a really fun way to personalize your wedding or event. Thank you to the queen of planning Martha Stewart marthastewartweddings.com for this little number:

Pomegranate Champagne. Choose this for a new spin on the classic first toast, or offer it as your signature drink during the reception - how fun!

1-1/2 ounces chilled Cointreau liqueur
1 chilled bottle (375 milliliters) Champagne
for garnish Pomegranate seeds

In a pitcher, mix juice, liqueur, and Champagne. Pour into flutes, and garnish with pomegranate seeds.

Simple Delights...or maybe they are addictions?

Do you remember what it was like when you were little and it was almost your birthday or the first day of school? Remember that giddy feeling that you would get just thinking of what the new year would bring? I have to say that is how I feel right now! I am in love with love!

I have to say I think I have a tiny addiction to all things wedding related. I love misty forest photos with flower boughs hanging from the trees. Or lanterns with candles lining the walkway of an old dock by the bay. Or a beautiful table setting filled with hanging crystals from tall vases overflowing with deep fall colored flowers....oh are you with me?

I have been collecting tiny snippets of inspiration at every turn. It is not only beautiful to look at in the corner of my studio, but thrilling to think that it is on hand for whatever I can think up to do with it all!

Follow Your Dreams

I was reading another great blog today and was struck by one of the messages. It said that "dreams, unspoken or not, are living, breathing, sometimes screaming (or quiet) whispers of our hearts. We've become good at discrediting them: unpractical. Too expensive, too complicated. But what I've learned is that our whole life's potential lies in the spaces between these whispers. If we pay attention to them, perhaps even take that first step and acknowledge them, then we breathe a bit easier knowing we've spoken a truth. Out loud."  - Kelly Rae Roberts @ kellyraeroberts.blogspot.com

I want you all to know that I have finally listened to my own dreams. That is why I started 628 Creative. It has long been my desire to get away from the corporate world of design and do something that I love and feel passionate about. I can't tell you how excited I am about this new phase in my life. I look forward to meeting you!

I am also really excited about our new website that is online now and also on TheKnot.com and WeddingChannel.com. Please check it out - 628creative.com.

Meet Miss Lilly

I would like everyone to meet Miss Lilly. She is a beautiful seven year old girl who is full of personality. She was so fun to photograph! Miss Lilly is representing the great city of Olathe in Anaheim, California this coming November in the National American Miss pageant. Good luck Lilly!!

I hope you all enjoy the photos!

We are open for business!

628 Creative is open for business!

In thinking about what inspires me as a designer it could be many things - fashion or wedding magazines, a cool street sign in the West Bottoms of KC, or maybe it's a paint swatch at the local hardware store.

At 628 Creative, we believe that everything starts with that one item or theme that you love, which later inspires everything else.  We want to help you build upon your vision turning it into the event of your dreams!
